Deepawali Milan Ceremony Organized at Raj Bhavan CM Sai, Public Representatives, and Dignitaries Present
Raipur, October 22
A Deepawali Milan ceremony was organized today at Raj Bhavan (Governor’s House) on the occasion of the Deepawali festival, with Governor Shri Ramen Deka as the Chief Guest. Governor Shri Deka lit the lamp to inaugurate the programme and extended heartfelt Deepawali greetings to all the guests, wishing them happiness, peace, and prosperity.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai was specially present at the ceremony. The Chief Minister, along with other invited guests, also extended warm Deepawali wishes to Governor Shri Deka. The First Lady of the State, Smt. Rani Deka Kakoti, and the Governor’s family members were present on this occasion.
The glorious culture of Chhattisgarh was showcased through various colourful performances during the event. The traditional folk dance of Chhattisgarh, ‘Raut Nach’, was performed by Shri Keshav Ram Yadav and his troupe. The melodious singing by Sufi singer Padma Shri Madan Chauhan and the presentation of devotional songs (bhajans) by MLA Shri Anuj Sharma doubled the enthusiasm of the ceremony.
Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court, Shri Ramesh Sinha, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal, Chief Secretary Shri Vikasheel, Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam, Member of Parliament Smt. Roop Kumari Choudhary, Members of the Legislative Assembly, former Governor Shri Ramesh Bais, Secretary to the Governor Dr. C.R. Prasanna, along with other officials and esteemed citizens were present at the programme.
