Dedication, Honesty, and Devotion Lead to Success: CM Sai

Addressing the youth at the Science College’s Deendayal Auditorium during the inauguration of the Youth Festival, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said, “You all are the future of the country and the state. With a dream in mind about how you want to serve the country and the state, study with complete dedication, honesty, and devotion.”
He further added, “Chhattisgarh has high-level educational institutions related to technology, medicine, law, and management. Nalanda Campus in Raipur is open 24 hours for those preparing for competitive exams. Following the model of Nalanda Campus, we are also establishing high-tech libraries in other districts of the state where material for online and offline competitive exam preparation will be available.”
Referring to the successful Bastar Olympics organized to connect the youth of the Bastar region with the mainstream development of the country and the state, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had appreciated this event. Congratulating the youth on Swami Vivekananda’s Jayanti, he said that in 1893, at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago, Swami Vivekananda, with his lectures on the ideals, spirituality, and philosophy of Sanatan Dharma, made the whole world admire India.
Beginning his interaction with the youth, the Chief Minister answered a question from Ambikapur’s Apurva Dixit, saying that many times in life, circumstances arise that disturb the mind, but we have to remain steadfast to achieve our goals. In this context, he told a short story related to Swami Vivekananda’s life and said that Swami Vivekananda was going with a monk in Varanasi, when a lot of monkeys surrounded Swami Ji. In such a situation, Swami Ji neither got scared nor moved from his place. As a result, all the monkeys ran away. He urged the youth to remain steadfast to achieve their goals. With determination, all problems will be solved.
Responding to questions from Shruti, a student of OP Jindal University, Raigarh, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that to achieve success, we need to choose one area and make efforts with full determination and concentration. Answering questions from Rajkumar Kureti regarding peace and development in Bastar, the Chief Minister said that the government is working with full commitment towards security and development in the five Naxal-affected districts of Bastar. Through the establishment of 39 security camps in these districts and the Niyad Nella Nar scheme, people are being ensured the benefits of government schemes and programs.
Addressing a question from Balodabazar student Mrinal Vajpayee about his journey to becoming the Chief Minister, the Chief Minister said that he is from a small village, Bagia, in Jashpur. Today, the population of his village is about two and a half thousand. The Chief Minister said that when he was 10 years old, his father passed away. The entire responsibility of the family came on his mother. His mother was a fearless woman who handled the responsibility with great patience and fearlessness. She handled our upbringing, studies, as well as farming and household work. He considered his mother as his role model. As he grew up, he took the responsibility of the house upon himself. When his father passed away, his younger brother was only two months old.
He educated and raised his younger brothers. He started his public life as a panch. He remained a panch for five years. Seeing his good work and honesty, the people of the village unanimously elected him as the sarpanch. Six months later, he got a ticket to contest the assembly elections and became an MLA from the Tapkara assembly constituency in 1990.
The Chief Minister then mentioned his journey of becoming a Member of Parliament, a Minister of State in the cabinet of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and the Chief Minister, and said that whenever he was given any responsibility, he fulfilled it with complete dedication and honesty. He said that Late Shri Dilip Singh Judeo and former Prime Minister Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee have been his role models in political life. Mentioning the opportunity to work with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that the way he has taken decisive decisions, he is a role model not only for him but also for the new generation.
On this occasion, Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, MLA Shri Rajesh Moonat and Guru Khushwant Sahib, Chairman of the State Youth Commission Shri Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar, public representatives, and a large number of youth who have achieved in various fields were present.
