Couple ties knot in presence of CM Sai

Raipur, March 28
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today participated in the Gondwana Social Marriage and Grand Conference held in Baloda Bazar, where he blessed 44 newlywed couples and wished them a happy married life. The event, organized by the Tribal Dhruv Gond Society and Khallari Mahakaleshwar, was held at the new Agricultural Produce Market premises and concluded with traditional Gondi rituals.
Chief Minister Shri Sai began the program by offering prayers to Lord Budha Dev and wished prosperity and happiness for the people of the state. He said that events like mass weddings promote social unity, cooperation, and values. These events are not only economically supportive but also set positive examples within society.
Under the Chief Minister’s Kanya Vivah Yojana, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai provided financial assistance checks and essential wedding materials to the newlywed couples. He blessed each couple, wishing them a prosperous and happy married life. On this occasion, he emphasized that the government’s goal is not just to provide assistance but also to participate in social responsibility. This scheme has emerged as a support for economically weaker families, allowing them to carry out their traditional weddings with dignity.
New Initiative in Education: MoU for Coaching Facility
During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the district administration and the Nuvoco Cement Group to provide better facilities for district students preparing for competitive exams. Under this MoU, students will be provided opportunities to study at advanced coaching institutes outside the district. The program also recognized individuals who have made outstanding contributions to society.
Chief Minister Shri Sai Highlighted Government Achievements
Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the government has fulfilled most of its promises in line with Prime Minister Modi’s vision. He shared that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 18 lakh new houses have been approved. The Mahatari Vandan Yojana is empowering women economically, and the Chief Minister’s Teerth Yatra Yojana is providing senior citizens with the opportunity for free pilgrimage tours.
Chief Minister Shri Sai also announced a grant of ₹20 lakh for the construction of community halls in Baloda Bazar and Khallari-Suhela in response to the demands of the Gond community.
The event was addressed by Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, MLA Shri Tuleshwar Netam, District President of Gond Society Bhagabli Dhruv, and several other public representatives. Other notable attendees included District Panchayat President Akanksha Jaiswal, Janpad President Sulochana Yadav, Municipality President Ashok Jain, Dr. Sanam Jangde, Laxmi Baghel, K.P. Pradhan, Anand Yadav, Vijay Keswani, Collector Shri Deepak Soni, Senior Superintendent of Police Vijay Agrawal, officials from the Gond society, and a large number of general public.
