Counseling Process Begins for Surplus Head Teachers and Assistant Teachers

In accordance with the directions of the state government, the counseling process for posting surplus head teachers and assistant teachers in Korba district is currently underway at the Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium, Transport Nagar, in the presence of Collector Shri Ajit Vasant.
In the first phase, counseling was conducted for surplus head teachers based on seniority. The process for assistant teachers is ongoing. During the counseling, head teachers selected their preferred schools from a list of available vacancies. Assistant teachers are also participating and choosing their preferred schools from a predetermined list.
Collector Ajit Vasant emphasized that the counseling is being conducted with complete transparency in accordance with government guidelines. He stated that the adjustment of surplus teachers in schools lacking teachers or those with only one teacher will ensure that students in remote areas have access to regular teaching staff. This will also help improve the quality of education. Teachers participating in the counseling are being immediately issued appointment orders for their newly assigned schools.
Teacher Expresses Satisfaction
Mrs. Dekumari Sahu, a teacher from Primary School Jenzra, who took part in the counseling and selected her preferred school from the list, expressed satisfaction with the process. She shared her happiness about being assigned to the new school in Dhelwadih, where she will now fulfill her teaching responsibilities. She appreciated the opportunity to choose a school of her preference during the counseling.
