The sale of meat and mutton will be completely prohibited in the Raipur Municipal Corporation area on January 26, Republic Day, and January 30, Mahatma Gandhi’s Death Anniversary. In compliance with the order issued by the Urban Administration and Development Department of the State Government, orders have been issued in this regard by the Health Department of the Raipur Municipal Corporation.
The Raipur Municipal Corporation has issued orders regarding the closure of slaughterhouses and all shops selling meat and mutton on January 26 and January 30. If meat and mutton are found to be sold in any shop on these two days, it will be confiscated and appropriate action will be taken against the concerned person. On Republic Day and Mahatma Gandhi’s Death Anniversary, the health officers and sanitation inspectors of all zones of the Raipur Municipal Corporation will ensure the practical compliance of the order banning the sale of meat and mutton. For this, they have been directed to continuously supervise the meat and mutton shops in their respective zones.
