Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai paid heartfelt tribute to Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak and the valiant revolutionary Chandra Shekhar Azad on the occasion of their birth anniversary, observed on July 23. He said the contribution of these two great freedom fighters to India’s independence is unforgettable, as they devoted their entire lives to the service of the motherland.

CM Sai said that Lokmanya Tilak ignited the flame of independence in the hearts of millions through his powerful call — “Swaraj is my birthright and I shall have it.” He added that Tilak initiated the public celebration of Ganesh Utsav in Maharashtra, thereby laying the foundation for a new era of social harmony and cultural unity in the freedom movement.

Remembering the fearless courage and supreme sacrifice of Chandra Shekhar Azad, the Chief Minister said that Azad remains a blazing source of inspiration for the freedom struggle. He dedicated his life to the nation and awakened among youth a spirit of inner strength, bravery, and patriotism. His name has become synonymous with national pride, fearless resolve, and unwavering determination.

CM Sai noted that the struggle and sacrifice of Tilak and Azad are not merely chapters in history, but eternal pillars of inspiration for generations to come. Their ideals, thoughts, and deep sense of nationalism continue to motivate us all in the service of the nation.
