Raipur, July 23

On the auspicious occasion of Hareli, one of Chhattisgarh’s most cherished traditional festivals, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extended his warm wishes to the people of the state.

In his message, the Chief Minister said that Hareli is a festival deeply rooted in the soil of Chhattisgarh, representing the essence of its agrarian culture, folk traditions, and profound reverence for nature. He described it as a symbolic expression of the state’s close bond with farming and the natural world.

CM Sai noted that Hareli is the first major festival linked to the agricultural season, where farmers worship their farming tools and express gratitude to Mother Earth. “This festival is not just about praying for a good harvest, but also a reflection of our intrinsic harmony with the environment,” he said.

The Chief Minister urged people across the state to make this year’s Hareli celebration even more meaningful by worshipping Mother Earth and taking up tree plantation drives, which will help ensure a greener future for the coming generations. He emphasized that Hareli should not be seen as just a tradition, but also as a symbol of environmental responsibility.

Expressing hope that the festival would bring joy, prosperity, and greenery into the lives of the people, CM Sai called upon everyone to celebrate Hareli in the true spirit of mutual harmony, love for nature, and respect for tradition.
