Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Government of Chhattisgarh has taken a significant step prioritizing transparency, efficiency, and digital empowerment in government operations. On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the State Finance Department and Directorate of Pensions have ensured the digital availability of Electronic Pension Payment Orders (ePPO) and other important documents through the DigiLocker platform. This initiative is considered a historic achievement in the state government’s commitment to digitization.
Approximately 3.61 lakh government employees and 1.50 lakh pensioners in the state can now securely and authentically access key documents—such as their GPF statements, final payment orders, pension certificates, and pension payment orders—anytime, anywhere via DigiLocker. This facility eliminates the dependence on physical copies of documents and spares individuals the hassle of frequent office visits, saving both time and resources.
Chief Minister Shri Sai praised the Directorate of Pensions for its technical competence, the hard work done in digitizing documents, and the coordination with the DigiLocker platform that led to the successful implementation of this initiative. This move is not only strengthening administrative systems but is also increasing public trust and satisfaction.
This initiative, aligned with the spirit of the Government of India’s Digital India Mission, stands out as a model from Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Sai’s initiative is directly benefiting pensioners, employees, and the administration alike.
