CM Sai Reaches Galgam, Boosts Morale of Jawans: Congratulates on Success of Anti-Naxal Operation

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today reached Galgam, a remote village in Usur Tehsil of Bijapur district, where he met CRPF jawans and local villagers to discuss the success of the recent anti-Naxal operation. In this operation, security forces neutralized 31 notorious Maoist terrorists during a 21-day operation on Karegutta Hill and recovered a large quantity of weapons. Chief Minister Sai described this operation as a significant step towards the goal of Naxal-free Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Shri Sai began his address with slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Chhattisgarh Mahtari Ki Jai.” He stated that “Our jawans have successfully carried out this operation with immense courage and dedication. This is a major achievement not only for Bijapur but for the entire state. The Galgam and Karegutta region has long been considered a Naxal stronghold, and this operation has ignited new hope in making the area safe.” During his meeting with CRPF jawans, Sai lauded their bravery and said, “It is through your valor and loyalty that we are winning this fight against Naxalism.”
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that “It has been one and a half years since our government came to power, and during this period, we have endeavored to establish good governance in the state.” Chief Minister Shri Sai stated, “You are continuously conducting many difficult anti-Naxal operations. You even operate in 44-degree heat. I salute the indomitable courage of such jawans.” He mentioned that he considers security camps as convenience camps because, through these security camps, various facilities are now reaching the remote areas of Bastar.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that “When our government came, the first camp in this area was opened in Muler. Today, facilities like ration, electricity, health, schools, and mobile towers are available in Muler and surrounding villages. Under the leadership and guidance of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the anti-Naxal operation is continuously achieving success. The target is to make Chhattisgarh Naxal-free by March 2026, and we will certainly fulfill this resolution thanks to the indomitable courage of the force’s jawans.” He added that the Niyad Nellanar scheme in Bastar has played a crucial role in connecting with the local people.
During his visit, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai also met rural beneficiaries and distributed ration cards and Ayushman cards to them, and handed over sanction letters under the PM Awas Yojana for special projects for Naxal-affected and surrendered families. He assured the villagers that the government would accelerate development works in the area and promote opportunities in education, health, and employment. Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the goal is to make Chhattisgarh completely Naxal-free by March 2026, and cooperation from local communities, along with security forces, is essential for this.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that basic facilities like roads, electricity, and water would be strengthened in the area so that villagers can join the mainstream. Along with this, education and health services would be prioritized in Naxal-affected areas. Chief Minister Shri Sai took a photo with the jawans at Galgam camp and boosted their morale with slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” The jawans also showed patriotic fervor by chanting slogans. The Chief Minister also had a meal with the jawans.
At the event in Galgam camp, Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam lauded the civic action being carried out by the force’s jawans in his address. Collector Bijapur Shri Sambit Mishra informed Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai that a ‘Samadhan Shivir’ (Solution Camp) was organized in Galgam just yesterday under Good Governance Festival-2025. During this, a total of 1590 applications were received in the Galgam cluster, most of which were related to forest rights certificates, and meaningful action is being taken after their verification.
On this occasion, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Bastar Range IG Shri Sundarraj P., DIG Shri Kamlochan Kashyap, Collector Shri Sambit Mishra, Superintendent of Police Dr. Jitendra Yadav, along with many other senior officers and security force personnel, were present.
