Chief Minister VishnuDeo Sai paid tribute to Chhattisgarh’s first woman Member of Parliament and noted social reformer, the late Minimata, on her death anniversary. CM Sai said that Minimata dedicated her entire life to the protection and upliftment of the rights of the underprivileged, women, Dalits and the poor.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Minimata strongly raised her voice against social evils such as child marriage, dowry and untouchability, and made significant contributions towards several key social reforms. Her work was always marked by service, simplicity and sensitivity.

Highlighting her life as a rare example of struggle and service, CM Sai said that Minimata’s legacy will continue to inspire future generations to work towards equality, justice and brotherhood in society. He urged everyone to adopt her ideals and contribute towards building a just and inclusive society.
