CM Sai pays respectful tribute to Lala Jagdalpuri on his birth anniversary

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai paid floral tributes and bowed in reverence to eminent Bastar litterateur Lala Jagdalpuri on his birth anniversary (December 17).
The Chief Minister said that Lala Jagdalpuri, through literature, gave national recognition to Bastar’s rich culture, history and folk life. His literary creations in Halbi, Bhatri and Chhattisgarhi, along with Hindi, stand as a powerful literary documentation of the soul and sensitivities of Bastar.
He said that works such as “Bastar: Itihas evam Sanskriti” and “Bastar ki Lok kathayen ” are invaluable for understanding Bastar’s cultural heritage and continue to serve as a source of inspiration for the younger generation even today.
The Chief Minister said that the literary legacy of Lala Jagdalpuri, a recipient of the Pt Sundarlal Sharma Regional Literature Award, is a priceless heritage of Chhattisgarh. His life and works will always inspire society to remain connected with culture and to preserve it.
