Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and his wife Smt. Kaushalya Sai reached Duldula Chhath Ghat today on the occasion of the great festival of Chhath, offered ‘arghya’ to the Sun, and prayed for the prosperity, affluence, and happiness of the state.
Chief Minister Shri Sai extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on Chhath Puja. He said that it is a moment of great fortune that he got the opportunity to participate in the Chhath festival.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that he has received the opportunity for public service only through the trust and affection of the people, and he is continuously striving for the development of the region and the fulfillment of the public’s expectations.
On the demand of the residents of the Duldula area, Chief Minister Shri Sai announced the beautification of the Chhath Ghat. He said that the work to beautify Duldula Chhath Ghat would be completed by the next Chhath festival. He mentioned that the Kunkuri Chhath Ghat has been beautified at a cost of approximately ₹5.17 crore, where fasting women are performing prayers with full devotion this year.
On this occasion, District Panchayat Vice President Shri Shaurya Pratap Singh Judev, Janpad Panchayat Duldula President Shri Ramkumar Singh, IG Shri Deepak Kumar Jha, Collector Shri Rohit Vyas, Superintendent of Police Shri Shashimohan Singh, along with women observing the Chhath fast, public representatives, and a large number of villagers were present.
