CM Sai inaugurates Sports Complex in Janjgir-Champa

Raipur, January 6

Janjgir-Champa district headquarters has now joined the ranks of major cities where athletes and sports enthusiasts have access to state-of-the-art sports complex facilities.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has given a big gift to the sports lovers of Janjgir-Champa district by inaugurating the sports complex on New Year’s Day.

Built at a cost of 3 crores in the district headquarters of Janjgir-Champa, this sports complex offers facilities for various sports such as cricket, football, running track, skating, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and lawn tennis. The sports complex has been equipped with several modern facilities for athletes. It has a facility for box cricket as well as a special grass field for the football ground. In addition, a magnificent running track has also been prepared for athletic competitions.

Chief Minister Sai said that the construction of the sports complex will not only give the athletes of the region an opportunity to hone their sporting skills but will also give them a chance to showcase their talent at the national and international level. Upon reaching the sports complex, the Chief Minister was greeted by the players with a greeting card and a rose flower and thanked him for providing new facilities to the sports lovers and players.

Chief Minister Sai, at the request of the players in the sports complex, batted to encourage them. On this occasion, Praseed Sharma, a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya Janjgir, also presented a portrait of the Chief Minister made by his own hands. On this occasion, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha constituency Janjgir-Champa, Smt. Kamlesh Jangde, former Leader of Opposition Shri Narayan Chandel, along with a large number of sports lovers, players, and common people were present.
