CM Sai honoured women journalists

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai honored women journalists at the “Mahtari Vandan Abhinandan” program held at the Chief Minister’s residence. During the event, senior women journalists openly discussed the role of women in the media.

The women journalists emphasized that they can excel in all fields, including politics, crime, and sports, provided they are given equal opportunities. They appreciated the initiative of setting up hostels for working women, stating that it would provide a safe environment for women living away from home. This initiative will also reassure parents about their daughters’ careers. They expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for increasing the journalists’ honorarium from ₹10,000 to ₹20,000, calling it a significant step for the welfare of journalists.

The women journalists expressed happiness over the honor ceremony being held at the Chief Minister’s residence, saying it felt as if a father had invited them to his home. They described the event as a historic moment for women journalists. For the first time, such a special program was organized in the state on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that women are a strong pillar of society, and women journalists play a crucial role in driving social change through their writing.

The women journalists had lunch with the Chief Minister and also took selfies with him. Chief Minister Shri Sai assured them that the government is considering new initiatives for women journalists and is committed to providing them with all possible support.
