CM Sai Attends Memorial Festival of Saint Baba Hardas Ram Sahib Ji

Raipur, 29 September

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited Godariwala Dham in Devpuri, Raipur late last night, where he participated in the 34th Memorial Festival of Saint Shiromani Baba Hardas Ram Sahib Ji and paid homage to the great saintly tradition.

At Shri Godariwala Dham, the Chief Minister bowed before the statue of Saint Gela Ram Sahib Ji and prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Chhattisgarh.

While addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Sai said:

“It is my great fortune to be part of the memorial festival of Saint Shiromani Baba Hardas Ram Sahib Ji. I feel blessed to have the darshan of revered saints from across the country here. I pray that the blessings of the saints continue to grace Chhattisgarh, bringing peace and prosperity to every household.”

The Chief Minister warmly welcomed all the saints and spiritual leaders from across India who attended the festival and expressed his gratitude for their presence on the sacred soil of Chhattisgarh. He said that Saint Baba Hardas Ram Ji’s life has been a beacon of service, sacrifice, and devotion to humanity. His footsteps have sanctified this land.

He also highlighted that free eye check-up camps, health camps, and blood donation drives regularly organized at the Dham premises are living examples of the saint’s teachings and ideals. He added that this memorial festival is not merely a religious gathering but also a celebration of devotion, unity, and social service.

Addressing the spiritual community, the Chief Minister remarked that Chhattisgarh is the maternal home of Mata Kaushalya and the maternal uncle’s home (Nanihal) of Lord Shri Ram. He noted that Kuleshwar Mahadev, installed by Lord Ram and Sita in Rajim, still resides there today. He emphasized that Lord Ram spent about 10 out of his 14 years of exile in the sacred lands of Chhattisgarh, and the people of the state still consider him their beloved nephew.

The Chief Minister also spoke about the ‘Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana’, initiated by the state government to facilitate pilgrimages to Ayodhya for devotees. Under this scheme, over 22,000 devotees visited Ayodhya last year to have darshan of Shri Ramlala.
