Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Makes Surprise Visit to Achhoti Today

Raipur, 20 May

As part of the “Good Governance Festival” being conducted by the state government to ensure effective governance reaches every citizen, Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Dev Sai today made an unannounced visit to Village Achhoti in Dhamdha development block of Durg district.

The Chief Minister arrived suddenly by helicopter in Village Achhoti and inspected the under-construction Mahatari Sadan at the DIET College campus, being built at a cost of ₹29.20 lakh. He examined the quality of construction and personally watered the building columns to symbolically convey the message of strength and transparency in public works. The Mahatari Sadan is envisioned to become a center for women’s empowerment and community dialogue in rural areas.

Afterward, Mr. Sai visited Murmunda, where he inaugurated 226 houses built under the Atal Housing Scheme. He personally handed over the keys of House No. 226 to beneficiary Mr. Tushar and facilitated his Griha Pravesh (housewarming ceremony). He also distributed house keys to other beneficiaries, congratulating and extending his best wishes to them. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma and other public representatives were also present on the occasion.

The objective of the Good Governance Festival is to ensure government schemes and services effectively reach the grassroots, to promote public participation, and to reinforce administrative accountability. Under this campaign, various programs such as Samadhan Shivirs (public grievance camps), inspection visits, review of development works, and expedited implementation of schemes are being conducted across the state.

The Chief Minister’s surprise visits to villages and his direct presence in Samadhan Shivirs, along with addressing public issues on the spot, are important steps toward strengthening good governance. These actions have significantly enhanced public trust and participation in the government.
