Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Interacts with Specially-abled Children

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai made an unannounced visit to the Pariyana Divyang Residential School, located at Garanji in Narayanpur district on January 31, and spent time interacting with the students. On his arrival, the specially-abled children of the institution, including student Ranjit Badde, extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to the Chief Minister.
On the occasion, the children presented a welcome song, the Hanuman Chalisa, and melodious traditional folk songs from the Bastar region. Their performances left all those present deeply impressed. Responding to a request made by the children, Chief Minister Shri Sai announced that a bus would be provided to the school to support the mobility and daily needs of the students.
While interacting with the children, the Chief Minister encouraged them to move forward in life with dedication and self-confidence. He stated that the school has good facilities and urged the students to make full use of these resources to build a bright future. Motivating them to aspire for prestigious positions such as IAS and IPS, he emphasised that physical challenges should never be a cause for disappointment, as persons with special needs are blessed with unique strengths. When asked how he felt after visiting the school, the Chief Minister stated that spending time with the children gave him immense happiness. Responding to a question from a girl student, he shared that during his childhood he enjoyed playing games such as pithoo and football.
The Chief Minister distributed chocolates among all the children and conveyed his blessings. The cultural performances by the divyang children were appreciated by Chief Minister Shri Sai, Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, Bastar MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap, other public representatives, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Rahul Bhagat, Commissioner Shri Doman Singh, and IG Shri Sundarraj P.
It is noteworthy that the Pariyana Divyang Residential School was inaugurated on 11 September 2023 and is being operated with support from the District Mineral Trust Fund. The primary objective of the school is to provide inclusive education to specially-abled children and connect them with the mainstream of society, strengthening their self-confidence and enabling them to play an effective role in social life. The school serves as a bridge between children with and without special needs. At present, 60 students are enrolled at the institution. Facilities at the school include audiology, physiotherapy, special education, music education, sports, yoga and physical exercise, as well as computer education.
