Chief Minister Pays Tribute to Martyred ASP Shri Akash Rao Girpunje: Carries Mortal Remains on Shoulder as Final Farewell

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today paid heartfelt tribute and offered a final farewell to ASP Shri Akash Rao Girpunje, who was martyred in a cowardly IED blast carried out by Naxalites in Konta, Sukma district. The Chief Minister visited the 4th Battalion campus of Chhattisgarh Armed Forces in Mana, where he laid a wreath on the martyr’s mortal remains and respectfully carried the body on his shoulder as a mark of honor.

CM Shri Sai met with the grieving family of the martyr and expressed his deep condolences, offering comfort and strength in this difficult time. He said that ASP Shri Girpunje displayed extraordinary courage, dedication, and commitment to duty, making the supreme sacrifice for the nation. “We are proud of him. The government stands firmly with his family in this hour of sorrow,” the Chief Minister stated.

He further said that the repeated success of security forces has left Naxalites frustrated and desperate. The Chhattisgarh Government is fully committed to tackling this challenge head-on. The bravery and patriotism of Martyr Shri Girpunje will always be remembered, he added.

Accompanying the Chief Minister at the ceremony were Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Vijay Sharma and Shri Arun Sao, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Shri Manoj Kumar Pingua, Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam, Principal Secretary to the CM Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, family members of the martyr, elected representatives, and a large number of citizens.
