Chief Minister Inaugurates Bamboo Boating Center in Bhongapal

Raipur, June 1

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the Bamboo Boating Center at Tamurra Nala in Bhongapal village of Kondagaon district. At the premises of the ancient Shiva temple, he handed over five kayaks to members of the Mahalaxmi Women’s Self-Help Group and distributed necessary equipment for the boating center to the Joint Forest Management Committee of Bhongapal.

During the event, the Chief Minister interacted with Sunita Nag, president of the women’s group, along with other members. As part of the “A Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign, he also planted a Peepal tree within the premises of the ancient Shiva temple in Bhongapal.

Present on the occasion were Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Raman Singh, Industry Minister Shri Lakhanlal Devangan, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap, MLA Ms. Lata Usendi, MLA Shri Neelkanth Tekam, Buddhist spiritual leader Bhante Arya Nagarjuna Surai Sasai, Shri Anil Khobragade, convener of the Buddha Mahotsav, along with a large number of followers of Buddhism and other dignitaries.
