Chief Minister gives mantra of bringing efficiency in government work in meeting with secretaries and department heads on new year

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today, on the very first day of the new year, held a meeting with the secretaries of all departments and the heads of departments in the secretariat and directed to bring transparency and efficiency in government work and to resolve the matters related to the common people promptly and effectively.

In the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai categorically stated that no laxity of any kind would be tolerated in administrative work. He said that officers and employees from the senior administrative level to the lower level should come to the office on time and perform their duties with full dedication.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that we all have to work with a team spirit to achieve the goal of a developed Chhattisgarh.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister said that in the year 2024, we have fulfilled the major guarantees of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The year 2025 is the silver jubilee year of Chhattisgarh. The silver jubilee year is of special significance for Chhattisgarh, so discharge your duties with great enthusiasm and dedication.

The Chief Minister directed the officers to conduct a special campaign to dispose of pending files promptly. He directed to implement the e-office system smoothly in the secretariat and all offices.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that he himself will review the work of all departments. He directed all departmental secretaries to review their departments regularly and said that every month, along with virtual review, physical review should also be done every 3 months. Also, try to resolve the problems arising in the implementation of major schemes in a time-bound manner and inform the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary.

The Chief Minister said that it is necessary to resolve the problems of the common man on time.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that our focus should be on ease of living and ease of doing business. There is a very good investment climate in Chhattisgarh right now.

Chhattisgarh’s Industrial Policy 2024-2030 is being appreciated across the country. Take special care that the investors benefit from the new industrial policy.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the law and order situation in the state should be strong. He said that in the last one year, we have achieved great success on the Naxal front. We have succeeded in establishing peace in Naxal-affected areas. There is a need to take the schemes of the government to the Naxal-affected areas. It is very important that the people of the area benefit from the Niyad Nella Nar Yojana. We have opened many security camps in the Naxalite area. It should be ensured that the work of the concerned department which comes under the Niyat Nella Nar Yojana is completed in these areas at a rapid pace. It is a service to take the benefit of the government’s scheme to the remote tribal-dominated areas of Chhattisgarh.

The Chief Minister said that the nodal secretaries of the districts should visit the districts every 2 months. During this, they should go to the interior areas of the district and get field information, only then the actual status of the implementation of the schemes at the grassroots level will be known. He directed the nodal secretaries to inform the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary about the status of the district during their visit to the district in charge.

The Chief Minister directed to take special care of administrative efficiency in the districts as well. The Chief Minister said that there is a need to pay a lot of attention to traffic management. A lot of road accidents are happening nowadays. A campaign should be launched to make foolproof arrangements to prevent road accidents so that it can be reduced. Smuggling of drugs from other states should not happen in Chhattisgarh. There is a need to strictly curb this. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that a good effort has been made in the last one year to prevent the illegal drug trade, there is a need to accelerate it further.
