Chief Engineer of Public Works Department Issues Show-Cause Notice to Contractor for Substandard Work

Raipur, January 17
The Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department has issued a show-cause notice to contractor Keshavdas R. Jadwani for substandard work. In the notice issued to the contractor, the department has stated that after the completion of the asphalting work on the overbridge and the commencement of traffic, the gravel started coming out, which adversely affected the quality of the work. This clearly reflects the negligence of the contractor. For this, the Chief Engineer, Public Works Department, Bridge Circle Raipur has recommended the suspension/demotion of the contractor’s registration.
In the notice, the department has told the contractor that your action is against the government and public interest. Therefore, why should your registration not be canceled/demoted/suspended for this act? The contractor has been asked to submit a reply to the show-cause notice to the Chief Engineer’s office within 15 days. In case no reply is received within the given time, it will be assumed that the contractor has nothing to say in this regard and unilateral action will be taken.
