Chhattisgarh’s PremRajan Rautiya clinches gold in international powerlifting, meets CM Sai

Powerlifter Prem Rajan Rautiya, who clinched the gold medal at the SBKF International Games 2024, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at the CM’s residence in Raipur today. The Chief Minister extended warm congratulations to Mr. Rautiya on this remarkable achievement and said that the youth of Chhattisgarh are now making their mark on international platforms, bringing pride to both the state and the nation.

Notably, Prem Rajan Rautiya hails from Pithora in Mahasamund district. He participated in the SBKF International Games held in Pokhara, Nepal, from August 31 to September 4, 2024. Competing in the under-30 category, he delivered an outstanding performance by lifting a total of 735 kilograms, securing the gold medal. His achievement has further strengthened Chhattisgarh’s presence on the global sports map.

On the occasion, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Leather Craftsmen Development Board Shri Dhruv Kumar Mirdha, Shri Khemraj Bakre were present. They congratulated Mr. Rautiya for his accomplishment and wished him continued success in the future.
