On the eve of International Yoga Day, Chhattisgarh State Women Commission will organize Yoga Fest for Women at Chhattisgarh Club, Civil Lines Raipur, on June 21. The programme will commence from 4pm. State Women Commission has appealed all the women to take part in this programme. There is no entry fee for attending this programme.
As a result of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s efforts, every year June 21 is celebrated as International Yoga Day. Importance of Yoga for a healthy life is known to all. Yoga holds special significance in Indian culture. Chief Minister of State Dr Raman Singh is determined to encourage people of state to adopt this ancient tradition of Yoga.
This programme is being organized under the guidance of Commission Chairperson Mrs. Harshita Pandey. On the occasion, women will be taught Yoga and will also be informed about health benefits of Yoga. In addition, women will be provided information about their legal and constitutional rights. All the members of the commission will attend the programme. Trainer of Art of Living Mrs. Rachna Chaturvedi will provide training on Yoga.
