Two professors booked for molesting female colleague

Police have booked two professors of a private college on criminal charges of molesting a woman colleague in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh, informed police today.

According to police, two professors identified as Subir Sen and Durga Sharan Chandra, of DP Vipra College Bilaspur, were booked by police in connection with alleged molestation of woman colleague. A case in this regard was registered with Kotwali police station under section 354-A (sexual harassment ) and 34 (common intention) late on last night.

During the course of investigation, it came to light that the victim was widow of an army mam and informed Sainik Kalyan Board about her ordeal following which the board took the matter to Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), he said.

On the directives of PMO, Bilaspur police on December 11 has initiated requisite action, police said.

In her statement of police, the victim alleged that the professors have been molesting her and also passing lewd comments, said police, elaborating that the woman also alleged that the duo was constantly pressurizing her to establish intimate relations with them.
