Speed-up laying of Ramnagar-Kota road expansion work: Minister Munat

Public Works Minister Mr. Rajesh Munat today made a surprise visit to the Ramnagar area in the capital. He took first-hand account of the Ramnagar-Kota road expansion works, laying of drains and shops built for vegetable vendors. Mr. Munat called upon the officials to complete the laying of road as soon as possible. He instructed that dividers should be built and electrification works completed before Diwali. He instructed the officials to maintain the quality of works. The citizens in the locality complained to the Minister Mr. Munat regarding the pollution of the plastic factory nearby. The plastic factory was sealed for violating the norms of the Environment Conservation Board and Municipal Corporation.
The Minister expressed his displeasure over the construction of commercial complexes in predominantly residential colonies. He called upon the officials to make a master plan for constructing ‘Hat bazaars’ for vegetable vendors. He announced the launch of subsidized food scheme for the workers in the area. He also inspected the Ramnagar pond and ordered the officials to clean up the pond. Municipal Corporation Speaker Mr. Praful Vishwakarma, corporator and several people’s representatives were also present.
