Raipur, Apr 28
Governor Anusuiya Uikey and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel attended the feast of Dawat-E-RozaIftaar organized at Netaji Subhash Stadium in Raipur on Wednesday and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state.
Governor Anusuiya Uikey expressed happiness over the celebration of mutual brotherhood by inviting religious leaders of all communities together in Dawat-e- RozaIftar and thanked Chief Minister Mr. Baghel for this gesture. Mr. Baghel said that the month of Ramzan inspires one to renounce evil and leads a person towards good conduct according to his religious beliefs. He described it as a unique example of ‘Ganga-Jamunitehzeeb’ when all the religious leaders attended Dawat-e- RozaIftar.
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. BhupeshBaghel said that the month of Ramzan is the month of worship. During this sacred month, people worship God by fasting. It is a month that inspires a person to walk away from evil and embrace goodness. Roza is such a way of communicating with God which makes the fasting person worthy of that transcendental world as well as this world. In this holy month, everyone’s mind becomes one, everyone’s goal becomes one. Everyone does the same penance and goes through the same experiences. The union of emotions and feelings is the ultimate height of spirituality.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that the most important message of Ramzan is that without understanding each other, one cannot be at peace with God and Allah. Where there is equality, there will be mutuality. Where there is mutuality, there will be unity. And where there is unity there will be brotherhood, there will be oneness. The traditions of Islam encourage mutuality and brotherhood. Along with living together, they teach together to attain God by holding the hands of the poor, downtrodden and weak people. He further said “All of you have worshiped God by fasting in this holy month. He will accept your every prayer. I wish you all a very happy and prosperous Eid in advance.”
