
Chief Minister dedicates, performs ‘bhoomipujan’ of works worth Rs 529 crore
Government Degree college, milk chilling plant to start at Sakthi

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today said that the glow on the faces of hard-working farmers reflects the prosperity of Chhattisgarh State. The State Government had been implementing various policies and programmes to increase the earnings of farmers. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi had set a target of doubling the incomes of farmers by the year 2022. The State Government is set upon achieving the target before the deadline . Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh was addressing a mammoth public meeting at Sakti Nagar district Janjgir-Champa as a part of Atal Vikas Yatra.
Dr. Raman Singh also said that a Government Degree college a nd milk chilling plant will be started at Sakti soon. He also sanctioned development works worth Rs 51 lakh at Sakti Nagar. Chief Minister said not only basic infrastructure facilities -roads and buildings-had been built but also policies had been implemented to transform the lives of farmers, poor and villagers in the entire state. The self-respect of poor women had been restored by allocating Smart phones. Chief Minister said that the State is enteringa new era of development with the launch of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s Ayushmaan Bharat Yojana (Jan Arogya Yojana).
Chief Minister said that earlier the poor used to sell their houses and land to treat serious ailments like heart, liver, kidney and cancer. The new scheme will help the underpriviled in getting modern treatment free of cost. Jangir-Champa MP Mrs.Kamal Devi Patle and Dr. Kilawan Sahu also addressed the gathering. Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Ambesh Jaangde, Former Assembly Speaker Mr. Dharamlal Kaushik, Foremer Vice-Chairman Mr. Narayan Prasad Chandle, former Minister Mr. Megaram Sahu and large number of villagers and prominent personalities were also present.
Dr. Raman Singh dedicated and laid foundation stones of 82 development works worth Rs 529 crore 52 lakh. These include bhoomipujan of 53 works worth Rs 406 crore and dedicated 29 development works worth Rs 123 crore. Electric sub-stations at Dabra (Rambata) and Shivrinarayan (Bargaon), Janjgir-Pamgarh (5.5 km) road, Sakti-Baseenpat road (5 km). Chief Minister distributed relief materials and cheques to many beneficiaries of social-welfare schemes of the State Government. Domestic cooking gas connections to 50 women, tiffin carriers to 100 MGNREGA workers, safety tools to 50 workers and cheques to five poor citizens under the Rajmata Vijayaraje Kanya Vivaah Sahayata Yojana.
