In Chhattisgarh, a court of Raipur has denied bail to senior journalist Vinod Verma in connection with an alleged extortion case.
The court dismissed the bail petition after considering the case diary produced by the police and hearing the arguments of defence counsel and prosecution.
Verma was arrested by Raipur police from his residence in Ghaziabad on October 27 over allegations of extortion in connection with the case related to an alleged sex CD of PWD Minister of Chhattisgarh Government.
He is in judicial custody till November 13.
