Security personnel eliminate naxal in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur

Raipur, November 7
A joint squad of District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Special Task Force (STF) today gunned down a naxal, clad in an uniform, in insurgency-hit Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, police said.
Security personnel have gunned down a cadre of banned organisation in restive forest under Orchha police station, said Narayanpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Santosh Singh.
While undertaking search operation in restive forested patches falling in limits of Orchha police station, security personnel entered into a gunfight with a group of armed ultras, said Narayanpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Santosh Singh, elaborating that few weapons and other articles were recovered from the spot of encounter.
Further details in connection with the encounter are awaited as parties are inside and searching is continue, said SP Singh.
