A joint team of security personnel on Wednesday recovered pressure bomb, naxal literature and other material belonging to ultras in insurgency-hit Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh after an encounter, police said.
The encounter took place in forests under limits of Manpur police station, added police.
“In order to hurt the joint team of District Force (DF) and Special Task Force (STF) undertaking anti-naxal exercise in Bukmarka and Sudiyal forest, ultras have opened firing after triggering IED blasts. In a wake of the firing, security personnel launched retaliatory action forcing naxals to fled the spot,” informed police sources.
While undertaking search at the spot of encounter, security personnel recovered a pressure bomb and other daily consumable items belonging to rebels, police said.
