Security personnel identify slain naxals, three carrying cash reward

Of six ultras eliminated by security personnel in two separate encounters took place in insurgency-hit Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh yesterday, three were identified as cadres carrying cash reward, said police.
Security personnel have ascertained the identity of three ultras, said Narayanpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Santosh Singh.
Of five ultras killed in encounter at Irpanar, three cadres have been identified as Rukmi Gavde alias Jyoti, Matki and Mangtu alias Fagnu, said SP Singh, elaborating that efforts to identify three others (including one female naxal killed in Dhurbeda) was underway.
“Initial investigation revealed that Rukmi was active in the organisation as member of CNM-a frontal organisation of CPI (Maoists) and carrying cash reward of Rs 5 lakh on her head while Matki (Nelnar LOS member) and Mangtu (Nelnar janmilitia commander) were carrying reward of Rs 1 lakh each,” said SP Singh.
Six ultras, including five female naxals, were gunned down by security personnel in two separate encounters took place in Narayanpur yesterday under Prahaar-2, added SP Singh.
