A joint team of Border Security Force (BSF) and District Force (DF) today recovered a major haul of explosives in insurgency-hit Kanker district of Chhattisgarh, police said.
The explosives catch recovered by security personnel from a naxal dump include two mortar bombs, grenades, live cartridges and others.
As per information received, based of precise tip-off security personnel have made the recovery from forest close to village Manhakal and Hethle falling in limits of Durgkondal police station. The seizure include two mortars (51 mm), three grenades (of which two were of Under Barrel Grenade Launcher), one country made pistol, 30 detonators, live cartridges of AK 47, SLR and 315 bore rifles and other stuffs.
