Chief Minister inaugurates Kabir Panthi Sahu Samaj Hostel

Raipur, March 22

Chhattisgarh government, in its new inclusive development model, has started numerous schemes to boost the socio-economic conditions of the state’s rural populace. Rural Chhattisgarh is primarily agriculture-based and with the formation of farmer friendly policies, youth’s interest in farming has increased. To avail the benefits of such government-aided policies, the youth has started to shift from cities to villages, said Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel while addressing the gathering in the inauguration ceremony of Kabir Panthi Sahu Samaaj’s Hostel located in Semaria,Aarang district.

Mr. Baghel initiated the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed hostel building by worshipping Sant Kabir Das. It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister had announced to fund Rs 40 lakh for this hostel building in the year 2019-20. As promised, a fully equipped hostel has been prepared for student accommodation. Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Chhaya Verma, Parliamentary Secretary Ms. Shakuntala Sahu, MLA Smt. Anita Sharma, State Teleghani Board President Shri Sandeep Sahu, District Panchayat President Smt. Domeshwari Verma were also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister further said that Sant Kabir has given an important message of connecting everyone in the society with love and kindness. The state government is extending all possible efforts and cooperation for the propagation of Sant Kabir’s ideas. With the construction of this hostel building, it will be very convenient for the students from far and remote places of the state to come here for accommodation and education.

The Chief Minister said that the farmers of the state have not faced any financial crunch even during the global pandemic. Timely funds were made available to the farmers through Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Along with this, employment was also provided in the village through MNREGA. He said that in the last three years, the state of Chhattisgarh has paid special attention to the needs and grievances of the farmers and has made its mark as a farmer-friendly government in the entire country.

With the state government’s intervention, the confidence of farmers has increased. Every possible effort is being made to make the farmers and laborers of the state financially secure. Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has done commendable work for the upliftment of farmers and workers. Along with this, continuous efforts are also being made to revive and promote the culture and tradition of Chhattisgarh through various schemes, programs and committees. The Chief Minister concluded the ceremony by asking the students of the district to avail the benefit of this newly constructed hostel and wished them luck for a bright future. The program was also addressed by Telghani Board President Shri Sandeep Sahu, Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Shri Manish Sarang, Society officials Shri Hanumant Sahu, Shri Kanhaiya Lal Sahu. Three-tier Panchayat representatives and a large number of society officials were present in the program.
