Visitors visiting the on-going “Aadi Mahotsav 2021” at Dilli Haat here are astonished to find that the food stall of Chhattisgarh is offering rare and eclectic recipes of the tribal-dominated Bastar region.

The menu of Chhattisgarh stall is full of bizarre recipes typical with tribals. Red ant chutney (chapra), alcohol made of mahua flower, Bastariya Biryani, Landa (a local alcohol made of rice) are attracting the food lovers looking to explore new tastes.

Visitors not only taste the unique chutney but also are eager to know its recipe. Some of them are even buying the dried red ant, which is used to prepare this recipe. Curiosity of people is witnessed by the crowd at the stall. People are curious to know more about the culture of Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh’s stall of SHG from Dantewada offering delicacies made of Mahua is also a hit among the lovers of Mahua. The stall offers cookies, halwa, ladoos, jellies, jam and other dishes made up of Mahua flower. The imli chutney at this stall is selling like hot cakes.

“People have been loving our dishes. We have kept samples for tasting. After tasting people find it yummy and are buying our products. We have to order more stock as these are in high demand,” says Sangeeta Mandavi, who is from Dantewada in Chhattisgarh.
