Chief minister Dr. Raman Singh today presided over a Cabinet meeting in which several crucial decisions were taken at his official residence.
Chhattisgarh State Logistics’ Park policy 2018 was approved at the Cabinet meeting. The Cabinet decided to give an impetus to the economic growth, to make it convenient to goods carriers and less expensive. There will be rapid development of logistics infrastructure and services, local industries will get better and cheap transport facilities. There will be more employment opportunities also. It will encourage local investment. The main aim of Logistics Park is to have better coordinated train, air and surface transport, landing, onloading, road bhawan and other amenities.
There will be subsidies on local capital investment, subsidy on interest on loans, electricity charges subsidy, land allocation for warehousing, land premium and E.P.F. subsidy. The Logistics Park as per the Industrial Policy 2014-2019 will be on 20-40 acre of land (50 thousand metric ton storage facility). The maximum subsidy will be of Rs 10 crore. The Logistics Park on more than 40 acres (Minimum one lakh metric ton storage capacity) will get around Rs 12.50 crore subsidy.
The State Cabinet decided to appoint International Basketball player Miss. Poonam Chaturvedi to the post of Assistant Grade-3 . Miss. Poonam Chaturvedi is residing in the State of Chhattisgarh for the past 8-9 years, represented the State at various Basketball tournaments. The State had bagged 11 Gold, 03 Silver and 02 Bronze medals. She played a stellar role in all the tournaments.
The MoU between the Labour Department and Touch Stone Foundation Bhilai (Akshaya Patra Foundation) was ratified in the today’s Cabinet meeting. The project is implemented at Telibandha in the capital, Gandhi Maidan and Urla, Kumhari in district Durg, Supela, Jai Stambh Chowk Chowdi in district Rajnandgaon, and Bhruhaspit Bazar -based Chowdi Bilaspur. The unorganized/ construction workers receive full meal at a nominal rate of Rs 5 and orgaznised workers at Rs 10 a meal. The scheme was launched at Raigarh on 17 March 2018.
