Raipur, May 21
On the occasion of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late Rajiv Gandhi which falls on May 21, the Public Relations Department is organizing a photo exhibition based on the development and achievements made during the last three and a half years in Chhattisgarh. In this one-month-long exhibition, special focus will be on the ‘priority schemes’ of the state government.
Three and a half years ago, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the government started functioning with the view of forming Nawa Chhattisgarh(a new Chhattisgarh). For this, the government formulated and implemented welfare-centric schemes for farmers, tribals, labourers and villagers. Suraji Gaon Yojana was started for villages of Chhattisgarh as per Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of ‘Gram Swaraj’ to strengthen the rural economy of the state. Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana started to provide the right price to the farmers for their hard work. The number of minor forest produce to be procured on support price is also increased from 7 to 65, thereby providing a new source of income to the tribals. Gauthans are being developed in the form of rural industrial parks in villages. Value addition of minor forest produce is being done in Van Dhan Kendras and Gauthans in forest areas. Besides, in a bid to improve the quality of education, Hindi medium schools are being started on the lines of Swami Atmanand English Medium School. Chief Minister’s Haat-Bazaar Clinic Scheme has been started to provide health facilities to people living in the far-flung areas. Similarly, schemes like Chief Minister’s Urban Slum Health Scheme, Dai-Didi Clinic and Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Stores Scheme are being operated in urban areas.
The photographs will be displayed in different segments of the schemes in the state level exhibition to be organized by the Public Relations Department at the DDU Auditorium of Science College campus. The priority schemes on which this exhibition will be focused include Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme, Dai-Didi Clinic Yoajan, Mukhyamantri Haat Bazar Clinic Yojana, Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan, Swami Atmanand English Medium School Scheme, Narva, Garwa, Ghurwa and Bari, Implementation of Forest Rights Act, Forest Produce Collection, Chief Minister’s Plantation Promotion Scheme, Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhoomiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, Chhattisgarh Employment Mission, Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club Yojna, Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store Scheme, Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana, Ram Van Gaman Tourist Circuit etc.
