Health and Family Welfare Minister Mr. Ajay Chandrakar today morning inaugurated the blood pressure and blood sugar check up camp held on the occasion World Diabetes Day at City Primary Health Centre in Khokhopara (Purani Basti) of capital city Raipur. He also got his blood pressure and blood sugar tested at the camp, which was found to be normal.
Agriculture and Water Resource Minister Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal of state also attended the programme and got his blood pressure and blood sugar tested at the camp. His blood pressure and blood sugar was also found to be normal. Health Minister Mr. Chandrakar said that Government has set the goal to make Chhattisgarh a diabetes free state, and it is moving towards that goal will everyone’s support. Presently due to irregular lifestyle and imbalanced diet, the number of people suffering from diabetes and blood pressure has increased in the country and abroad significantly. Awareness towards health and change in lifestyle are necessary for preventing these diseases. Health Minister announced that the city primary health centre of Khokhopara will be equipped with all the necessary medical facilities. Health Minister informed that on the occasion of World Diabetes Day, people are being provided the facility of blood pressure and blood sugar check up in all the government hospitals of Chhattisgarh. On the occasion, Corporator of Purani Basti Ward Mr. Ramesh Thakur, Principal Secretary of Health Department Mr. Subrat Sahu, Director Health Services Mrs. Ranu Sahu, Mitanins of Health Department, Health workers and a large number of local citizens were also present.
