online class in colleges: Higher Education Department Secretary Dhananjay Dewangan had a discussion with Vice-Chancellors of all the universities and Principals of all the colleges of the state regarding admission, online class, exam results and courses in colleges, via video conferencing.
Secretary Dewangan directed the Vice-Chancellors to ensure declaration of exam results on time and pay special attention towards improving the quality of education. Last date of admission in colleges has beed decided to be October 22.
Secretary Dewanagan directed that none of the seats should remain vacant in any of the colleges, admission on 100% of the seats should be ensured. Dewangan has given instructions to give preference to girl education during admission process.
Secretary Dewangan said that to ensure timely completion of the curriculum, a committee has been constituted for downsizing the graduation-level courses. Guidelines will be issued after receiving recommendations from the committee. During this time of corona crisis, facility of online classes should be provided to the students.
He said that from November 1, classes should be compulsorily started in all the colleges and precautionary measures should be strictly followed. In the meeting, Vice-Chancellors informed that results of all the exams will be declared by the end of October. Presently, evaluation is in process. They suggested to postpone the last date of college admission from October 22 to October 30 to ensure 100% admission in alll the colleges. Higher Education Department Commissioner Mrs. Sharda Verma and other officers was also present in the meeting.
