Minister Gagda accompanied by CRPF officials participate in plantation drive

Chhattisgarh forest minister Mahesh Gagda recently participated in a plantation drive launched by 85th battalion of CRPF in insurgency-hit Bijapur district.

On the occasion, the Forest Minister Gagda accompanied by senior officials of CRPF including Kuldeep Singh (ADG CZ), Sanjay Arora (IG chhattisgarh), Alok Awasthi (DIG, Bijapur), A K singh(DIG Raipur) and all commandants based on Bijapur have planted saplings, informed Commandant Sudhir Kumar.

Commandant Sudhir further informed that to mark world environment day, CRPF 85th battalion had launched a massive plantation drive on June 5 which is scheduled to be concluding on August 15 with declaration of the CRPF camp polythene free, said Commandant Sudhir Kumar.

The objective of campaign is to contribute in preservation of South Bastar’s environment, sensitize people about environment conservation and empower them to contribute to a Sustainable and GREEN World, added the Commandant.
