Chief Minister presides over In-charge Secretaries’ review meeting 

22.77 lakh poor women allotted domestic gas connections

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today presided over a meeting of the District In-Charge Secretaries and reviewed the various developmental schemes-Prime Minister Housing Project, MNREGA, Public Distribution System (PDS) Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana and Prime Minister Crops’ Insurance Scheme. He also elicited responses regarding the preparations for the distribution of Smart Phones in all the 27 districts.

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh expressed his happiness over the distribution of domestic gas connections to 22 lakh 77 thousand poor women across the State and the merger of about one lakh ‘Shikshakarmis’. He congratulated the concerned departments’ officials that within a short span of one month of the announcement the entire process of merger had been completed. The status will be Teacher (L.B.) and they will get regular payments from 1st July. It may be mentioned here that Dr. Raman Singh announced the merger of ‘Shikshakarmis’ at a massive public meeting on 10th June at Ambikapur. The department officers conducted camps at divisional -level and hastened the process of merger.

Dr. Raman Singh reviewed the distribution of seeds and fertilizers to farmers during the current Kharif season. He revealed that bonus will be allotted to the Tendu patta collectors during the second phase of Vikaas Yatra. He called upon the Forest Department officials to co-ordinate with the District Collectors and make preparations for the distribution of bonus. He also elicited responses from the senior officials regarding ‘Term Lease’ patta, Social Security Pension Yojana, National Health Insurance Yojana and Chief Minister Health Insurance Yojana.

Chief Minister called upon all the senior officers of the districts to be cautious regarding the outbreak of vomiting-diarrhoea and supply clean drinking water. Dr. Raman Singh instructed the officials to provide Caste, Income and Domicile certificates to the students on a war-footing. He enquired about the distribution of electricity to the far-flung areas of the State. He said that all the infrastructure projects should be completed in a time-bound and phased manner. Chief Minister inquired about the appointments on compassionate grounds which he had promised during his Vikaas Yatra and Lok Suraj Mission. Chief secretary Mr. Ajay Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Sunil Kujur, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Aman Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary Finance Department Mr. Amitabh Jain and Mr. R. S. Sharma, Health Department Secretary Mrs. Nihaarika Baareekh Singh, Industry Department Secretary Dr. Kamalpreet Singh School Department Secretary Mr. Gaurav Dwivedi, Director of Public Relations Department Mr. Chandrakant Uike, Chief Executive Officer of CHiPS Mr. Alex Paul Menon and senior officers of several departments were also present.
