
Huge crowd of visitors turning up everyday at the stall of Panchayat and Rural Development Department in Rajyotsav, awarded as the second best stall of the event

Huge crowd of visitors is turning up daily at the stall of Panchayat and Rural Development Department at Rajyotsav venue. At this stall, the ambitious scheme of Chhattisgarh Government Narva, Garva, Ghurva Bari has been displayed in an attractive manner. Stall also displays the cowdung diyas, incense sticks, decorative items, Lakshmi and Ganesh statues, soaps, neem phenyls and vases made by self-help groups under State Rural Livelihood Mission (Bihaan).
This year the cow dung diyas made by ‘Bihaan’ were on demand right from Raipur to Delhi. This year many houses got illuminated with cow dung diyas on Diwali. This stall of Panchayat and Rural Development Department has jointly won the second best stall award with Urban Administration and Development, amongst all the stalls put up by various departments of State Government.
At the stall, visitors are being informed in detail about the ambitious scheme of state government through Narva, Garva, Ghurva, Bari model. People are showing keen interest in the details of the model and understanding the importance of conserving and preserving Narva Garva Ghurva Bari. Works done under the scheme in last 10 months have also been shown at the stall. It also gives the message of maintaining clean surrounding under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and displays information about government aid being provided for solid and liquid waste management in villages.
