Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today chaired the Cabinet meeting held in Secretariat (Mahanadi Bhavan), wherein many important decisions were taken, which are as follows:-
Sahaj Bijli Bill Scheme announced
Bringing major relief to farmers of the state, Cabinet has decide to provide flat rate facility for irrigation pumps of all the farmers under Krishak Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, without consumption or capacity limit. As per this decision, flat rate facility for billing on all the pimps of all the farmers of the state under Krishak Jeevan Jyoti Yojana has been proposed separately.
After implementation of this decision, under Krishak Jeevan Jyoti Yojana and Sahaj Bijli Bill Scheme, the electricity bills issued to farmers for due payments will be revised as per aforementioned flat rates. Options under the scheme can be presented till March 31, 2019.
Female employees appointed on contractual basis will also be entitled to paid maternity leave of 180 days. This maternity leave will not be applicable on third pregnancy, after two alive children. Leave will be provided for 180 days or till the end of the contract duration, whichever of the two is earlier.
For appointment on compassionate grounds on direct recruitment on Grade-III posts, the limit of 10% will be slackened for once for duration of one and a half month.
505 numerator posts of Assistant Engineers has been sanctioned for promotion of Sub-Engineers of Water Resource Department on the post of Assistant Engineer.
‘Chhattisgarh Rajya Kesh Shilpi Kalyan Board’ to be constituted under Social Welfare Department for conservation of the Naai Samaj’s traditional profession of hair dressing. Board will constitute a Chairman and two members ‘Naai Samaj’ at least one of which will be a woman. It will also include representatives of Finance, Panchayat and Rural Development, Social Welfare, Labour, Urban Administration and Development Department, Tribal caste and Scheduled Caste Development Department, Skill Development, Technical Education, Employment and Science and Technology Departments, who will be not of less that Deputy Secretary-level. Additional Director of Social Welfare Department will be the member secretary of this board. Board will provide suggestions for development of the community engaged in hair dressing and recommendations for socio-economic and educational upliftment of the workers and professions engaged in hair dressing.
