Four Schools of Chhattisgarh bag National Award for cleanliness

Four schools of Chhattisgarh have been selected for Clean School Award 2016 by Union Ministry of Human Resources Development (HRD). These four schools are- Government Higher Secondary School Kotra District Raigarh, KGBV Ambikapur District Sarguja, Government Middle School Potiya Hirri District Durg and Government Primary School Potiya Hirri Durg District. Selected Schools will be felicitated by Union HRD Minister, Government of India, at Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrisha Auditorium, Central School-2, APS Colony, New Delhi. Selected Schools will be awarded incentive of Rs 50 thousand along with certificates. It is noteworthy that Government had invited online applications from schools across the nation. At national-level, largest number of entries was received from Chhattisgarh state i.e. 39,141 schools had submitted online application. Thereafter, total 35 schools with highest scores were shortlisted at state-level, and the nominations for national award were sent to Government of India.
