Four DRG troopers killed, nine injured in encounter with ultras in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur

Four personnel of District Reserve Guard (DRG), including two Sub-Inspectors were killed and nine others injured in an encounter with ultras in insurgency-hit Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, police said today.
The incident took place in dense forest pockets of Abujhmad, informed a senior official.
According to police, the martyred personnel have been identified as Sub-Inspector Vinod Kaushik, Sub-Inspector Mulchand Singh Kanwar, Constable Devnath Pujari and Constable Raisingh Markam. Injured include personnel of DRG and Special Task Force (STF). A joint squad of DRG and STF undertaking anti-naxal exercise entered into an encounter with naxals in Irpanar forests.
The injured jawans have been airlifted to the state capital for better medical assistance, added police.
