Guidelines for prevention of COVID-19 infection to be strictly complied with in Rozgar Camps

Employment camp for migrant: As per the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, ‘Rozgar Camps’ will be organized in all the districts of the state to provide employment to the migrant labourers, who have returned to Chhattisgarh after lockdown, as per their skills.

Information about the lack of skilled and unskilled manpower in various industries, firms and institutions of the districts due to the lockdown circumstances is being collected.

Based on the data collected by State Government’s Industry and Labour Department in coordination with commercial establishments, Rozgar camps will be organized for migrant labourers in each district. This will help migrant labourers to get employment opportunities suitable to their skills.

Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority and State Project Livelihood College Society has issued detailed guidelines regarding organizing of Rozgar camps and related activities to the skill development nodal officers in all the districts. As per the guidelines issued, all the protocols made compulsory by the government for prevention of COVID-19 infection will be strictly implemented while organizing Rozgar Camps. Nodal Officers of districts have been given instructions to identify venue for organizing rozgar camps and also to determine the number of migrant labouers expected in the camp. Instructions have been given to ensure physical distancing between people at the camps and also to ensure presence of not more than 20 persons at the camp at a time. All the necessary goods and equipment including mask, sanitizers, thermal scanner etc will also be arranged at the venue. As per the instructions, information of migrant labourers will be directly provided to the employers at district-level, so that they may contact labourers directly. It is also stated in the guidelines that if any migrant labourer is interested in information about the employers identified for local employment opportunities and also about the nature of job, he/she should be provided the information sought.
