As many as eight outlaws of were gunned down in an encounter while two police personnel martyred in insurgency-hit Sukma district of Chhattisgarh on Monday, police said.
The encounter took place in forest falling of Kistaram police station.
Police have recovered eight bodies of slain naxals from the spot of encounter, said a senior police officer, adding that two personnel of District Reserve Guard (DRG) were also martyred in the encounter.
As the news of encounter reached m, additional forces have been dispatched to the encounter site, added the officer.
