Labour Minister Dr. Dahriya launched the scholarship drive by providing cheques to the student beneficiaries

The educational scholarship drive initiated by the Educational Scholarship Scheme of Chhattisgarh Labour Welfare Board was kick started on Friday by Urban Administration, Development and Labor Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahriya . Mr. Dahariya launched the scholarship drive by providing cheques to the children of labourers. For the year, 2021-22, Scholarships worth Rs 42 lakh 33 thousand 500 were distributed through cheque and RTGS to the children of about 1682 labourers hailing from different districts of the state.

Labor Minister Dr. Dahriya said that under the educational scholarship scheme of Chhattisgarh Labour Welfare Board, the officials of the Labour Department will make sure that the benefit of this scholarship drive will reach every school and college-going children of the registered workers. He asked the student beneficiaries to make full use of this scholarship to study diligently and fulfill their dreams. He said that the students would be given every possible help by the Chhattisgarh government.

The officials of the Labour Welfare Board said that labourer’s children studying from class I to VIII will get 1500 Rs annualy, 3000 Rs per year will be given to students of class IX to XII. 5000 Rs per year will be given to students of graduation level BA, B.Com, B.Sc,  ITI, and Nursing, etc., Rs.8,000 per year to engineering, medical and other students of graduate-level, and Rs.10,000 to postgraduate students.

On this occasion, Chairman of Labor Welfare Board, Mr. Shafi Ahmed, Commissioner Mr. Divyansh Sinha,  Board of Directors, Mr. Sharik Rais Khan, Mr. Manoj Singh Thakur, Mrs. Ambalika Sahu, Mr. Naresh Devangan, Mr. Jhumuk Sahu, Mr. Naveen Singh along with other officials were also present.
