Raipur, June 8
A delegation of public organizations met Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday at his residence office to discuss about the Silger movement. The delegation members discussed various topics related to this movement with Chief Minister Baghel.
Chief Minister informed the delegation that a magisterial probe of Silger incident is being conducted at present. State Government is ready to meet the development related needs of people in the area.
Baghel appealed the public organizations to come forward and cooperate with the State Government in various development works. The delegation conveyed the demand that a delegation from Silger village wants to meet Chief Minister Baghel, and Chief Minister agreed to the demand.
The delegation that paid courtesy call on Chief Minister included human rights activist Bela Bhatia, Chhattisgarh Bachao Andolan convener Alok Shukla, Chhattisgarh Kisan Sabha President Sanjay Parate and trade union organization ACTU General Secretary Bijendra Tiwari.
Advisor to Chief Minister Ruchir Garg, Additional Chief Secretary Home Subrat Sahoo, Special Director General of Police Ashok Juneja were also present on the occasion.
