Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel attended the Rajim Bhaktin Mata Jayanti celebrations organized at Triveni Sangam in Rajim today, as the chief guest. On this occasion, the Chief Minister, along with the office bearers and representatives of the society, prayed for the prosperity of the state and the society by performing Maha Aarti and offering prayers to the Goddess Rajim Bhaktin in the premises of Shri Rajiv Lochan Temple.

Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Food Minister Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat, MLAs including Mr. Dhanendra Sahu, Mr. Amitesh Shukla and Parliamentary Secretary Ms. Shakuntala Sahu were present on the occasion.

The celebrations were low-key keeping in view the surge in number of Covid-19 cases. Addressing the programme, Chief Minister appealed citizens to take all necessary precautions to prevent spread of Covid-19 infection. He urged the public to mandatorily wear face masks, use hand sanitizers and practice social distancing.

Praising the glory and rich cultural heritage of Rajim, Mr. Baghel said Rajim is not only a religious place but it is a confluence point of three rivers and different religions and sects. Rajim should not be seen just as a city but as a wonderful amalgamation of religious and cultural heritage of the state.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the efforts made by Sahu Samaj to give new heights to the society are exemplary for all the societies. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel laid the foundation stone of Dharamshala of Sahu Samaj to be built at the cost of Rs 50 lakh at the new Rajim Mela site.

During his address, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that 54 acres of land has been allocated as per the announcement made last year and development work is being done at a rapid pace. A permanent facility will be developed here for accommodation of saints and officials, pavilions, and local fairs. Besides, a state level facility will be planned and developed and a plan will be made for it. It is worth mentioning that announcement made last year for naming Community Health Center Fingeshwar after Rajim Mata has also been done.

The Chief Minister congratulated the people of the state on the occasion of Rajim Bhaktin Mata Jayanti and said that the Sahu Samaj which was formed by Rajim Bhaktin Mata with her hard work and sacrifice is progressing in all fields including education, agriculture and business and other societies today.

Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu said in his address that a short programme has been organized today due to Covid restrictions. He said that Sahu Samaj is known as a well-organized society. This society can also give direction to other societies. Today Sahu Samaj is the biggest example of social harmony. He wished for the speedy recovery of the State President of Sahu Samaj, Mr. Arjun Hirwani. The Minister in-charge of the district and the Food Minister extended best wishes to the people of the society on this occasion.

Abhanpur MLA Mr. Dhanendra Sahu said in his address that for the first time, Telghani Development Board has been constituted in the state, which is a matter of pride for Sahu Samaj. He said that no government has done the work that the present government is doing for the farmers. Rajim MLA Amitesh Shukla addressed the program saying that he has always been getting support and love from the Sahu community.

On this occasion, a ‘Shobha Yatra’ was held in the city of Rajim Bhaktin Mata. Parliamentary Secretary Ms. Shakuntala Sahu, Mahasamund MP Mr. Chunni Lal Sahu, Abhanpur MLA Mr. Dhanendra Sahu, MLA Rajim Mr. Amitesh Shukla, former MP Chandu Lal Sahu, Bhuneshwar Sahu of State Sahu Union, Chhattisgarh State Milk Federation President Mr. Vipin Sahu, President of Telghani Development Board Sandeep Sahu, office bearers of Sahu Samaj including Tehal Ram Sahu, Dr. Mamta Sahu, Moti Lal Sahu along with other representatives, members were present on the occasion.
