On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh welcomed bike rally at his residence today. This rally was organized by Women and Child Development Department, which started from Telibandha pond, reach Chief Minister’s residence and after crossing various parts of the city, it concluded at Marine Drive.
Dr Singh extended greetings of International Women’s Day to all the women participants of the bike rally. He said- a number of women have participated in this rally as representatives of police, medical and education departments and women self-help groups. Dr Singh said- through this rally, the message of gender equality and women empowerment is being spread.
Chief Minister said- State Government in Chhattisgarh is conducting several schemes for women welfare. As a result, our state is one of the leading states in terms of sex-ratio and soon it will secure the first position in the state. On the occasion, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Mrs. Prabha Dubey, Chairman of Raipur Development Authority Mr. Sanjay Shrivastava and other prominent citizens and officials were present.
